You, as the wholesaler/manufacturer, handle the complete sale with the customer. You manufacture, source, stock, make advertising material, take orders, pack, ship orders, carry warranties, deal with client questions, etc, etc. Stuff you do in your business anyway.

The affiliate marketer does the passive thing. His/her site automatically send customers to your shop, 24/7. OK, you make the profit, fair enough. The affiliate marketer gets usually between 5% to 20% commission on what they sell.
